BCHS softball wins three of four games at Crisp Watermelon Classic.

After playing single games all week, the Lady Royals softball team traveled to Cordele for the Watermelon Classic hosted by Crisp County High School.  Bleckley won three of four games played.  Read coverage of Saturday's games here.

The Von Lassiter era got off to a good start as Bleckley led Clinch County 14-10 at halftime.  But the Royals committed three turnovers in the third quarter that led to 20 Panther points.  BCHS lost 37-14.  You can read more coverage of the game here.

Late runs helps BCHS pull away at Dublin.

Bleckley scored nine of their 14 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to win 14-5 at Dublin Thursday afternoon.  Landa Dominy went 3 for 3 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI.  Bailey Odom and Abbey Sims each went 2 for 4.  The Lady Royals play this weekend at the Crisp County Watermellon Classic.  Game times are 5 and 7 pm today, 9:30 and 11:30 am Saturday.  All will be played at the Crisp County Youth Ball Complex.

In the bottom of the fourth inning of Wednesday's game at Schley County, Bleckley committed three errors leading to four Lady Wildcat runs.  Three is the number of hits the Lady Royals had as they lost 8-0.  Region play resumes today at Dublin High School.  Game time is 5:30 pm.

Bleckley took advantage of eight straight walks to start the game, scoring 15 first inning runs en route to a 15-0 win over Northeast Tuesday afternoon.  Seven players had hits, all nine starters reached base.  Bailey Odom threw three perfect innings.

The Lady Royals play today in Ellaville against Schley County at 5:30 pm.

Bleckley trailed 4-1 going into the top of the seventh of Monday's season opener at Telfair County.  With one out, Caroline Thrower singled.  Landa Dominy followed with a two-run home run, cutting the deficit to one.  Aliyah Whitehead hit a solo blast, tying the game.  After loading the bases with two outs, Tori Long's single gave the Lady Royals a 5-4 lead.

Telfair though would load the bases with two outs.  They got a hit batter followed by a single to win 6-5.  You can read more coverage of the game here.  BCHS opens home and region play today against Northeast at 5:30 pm.

It was a last chance to work on things before the season kicks off as Bleckley traveled to Dexter for a scrimmage against West Laurens.  Varsity played three quarters, JV one.  To read more, click here.
