Georgia DNR Hosting Deer Quota Hunt | News
Deer hunting is right around the corner and the Department of Natural Resources is hosting a deer quota hunt.
The state says a quota hunt works like this: they choose specific areas highly populated with deer and you're with a set number of hunters.
The quota is used for conservation, so that rangers can manage the specific area and it's considered a safe experience because it's well-coordinated.
In all, DNR is arranging 27 deer quota hunts throughout Georgia.
One of those quota hunts will be in Forsyth at the Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area on October 31-November 2.
