Bleckley high choir to sing with Foreigner Tuesday | News
The Bleckley County High School Choir has a big day tomorrow.
The children will be performing with rock legends Foreigner at the Macon City Auditorium.
The Bleckley choir will join Foreigner on stage when the band sings their classic No. 1 hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is."
13WMAZ's Sitarah Coote spent the morning with the choir as they rehearsed. Watch Eyewitness News at 5 and 6 for more.
Foreigner is donating $500 to the Bleckley choir program. During the concert, the kids will be selling a live CD/DVD set that contains all of Foreigner's classic hits to raise money for Foreigner's charity partner, The Grammy Foundation, which provides funds for high school music programs.
To contribute to the Grammy Foundation, every time Foreigner performs in a city, they select a local high school choir to sing "I Want to Know What Love Is."
Foreigner has 10 multi-platinum albums, 16 top-30 hits and album sales of more than $75 million. They have an arsenal of hits, like "Feels Like The First Time," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision," "Urgent," and "Juke Box Hero."
