BCHS Falls to Hawkinsville in Baseball Opener | HS Sports
The Royals trailed 1-0 going into the sixth inning of their game in Hawkinsville Monday. Chatain Coleman's one-out single tied the score.
A two-out double by Kyle Brown put Bleckley on top. Though escaping a two on, one out jam in the sixth, Hawkinsville's Tyler Keen held BC to just a single in the seventh.
The Red Devils scored twice in the bottom of the inning (one run was unearned) as BCHS lost 3-2. Dylan Churchwell was 2 for 3 with a double.
Coleman was 1 for 2.
Bleckley pitching gave up one earned run but allowed a Hawkinsville base runner in every inning. Keen struck out 11.
The Royals home opener is Tuesday at 5:30 pm versus Howard.
