Bleckley Loses Home Opener to Howard

The Howard Huskies scored four runs in the first and three in the third to take a 7-0 lead over Bleckley in their home opener Tuesday.

Cal Young, who singled to lead off the sixth, scored the Royals only run in the bottom of the sixth as BCHS went on to lose 8-1.

Howard's eight runs were aided by five BC errors.

Young was 1 for 2.  Chastain Coleman had two of Bleckley's four hits, going 2 for 3.

Due to a threat of rain Friday, a home doubleheader versus Franklin County has been moved from Friday to Thursday at 4 pm.  The Lions are led by former Royals coach Brent Honeywell.
