One Dead in Dodge County Wreck | News
The 39-year-old driver of a SUV died Tuesday morning in a two-car accident about five miles south of Eastman on Highway 117.
Authorities say Jody Williams of Rhine crossed the center line and struck a Dodge County sanitation truck. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Joe Smith.
The driver of the sanitation truck, William Singletary, was injured and transported to the Dodge County Hospital.
According to a news release, the Helena post of the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
