GHSA Softball Starts Round Two | News

It's the second round of the GHSA Softball playoffs and we have several Central Georgia teams still vying for a chance at a coveted state title.

One of those teams left in the AAAAA state tournament is Region champion Houston County. The Bears advanced after a 2 game sweep over Ware County last week. Coach Angela Crawford has two seniors on a young squad that is catching fire at the right time but still trying to find their identity.

Houston County travels to Union Grove for a series Wednesday afternoon.

Other teams also in play on Wednesday are the Peach County Lady Trojans. They take on Central Carrolton.

Jones County ia t home. The Hounds square off against Whitewater.

Rutland looks to tango with Spalding on Mercer's campus.

The West Laurens Raiders invade Crisp County

Crawford County soars over to Jeff Davis

While Dodge County hosts Chapel Hill in Eastman

Bleckley County faces Harlem on the road

Johnson Co battles with Baconton Charter

And FPD entertains Darlington at home.
