Though never trailing by more than three points for most of the night, the Lady Royals never led versus East Laurens Saturday.  A three-point play with 2:16 left in the game put what was a five-point game out of reach as Bleckley lost 62-50.  Nyaisa Anderson scored 11.

The Royals led by as many as nine points in the first half versus East Laurens.  Though the Falcons tied the game in the third and led for about a minute in the fourth, Bleckley ended the game on an 18-6 run to win 60-49.  Brentine Taylor had 16 points.  Vidal Nelson added 12.

Bleckley's boys are the top seed from 3B-AA in the upcoming region tournament.

They play Friday in Swainsboro at 8:30 p.m.  The girls are the fourth seed and will play the host Tigers Tuesday at 4 p.m.
