It was another day worth cheering about for Bleckley as the squad had their third straight top finish at the Toombs County Cheer Dawg Classic.  To read more, click here.

BCHS softball blasts Southwest.

The Lady Royals got back in the win column with a 19-0 victory at Southwest Thursday afternoon. Landa Dominy went 3 for 3 with a three-run home run, double, and 7 RBI. Macey Haley threw three perfect innings and also went 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBI. Caroline Thrower was 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBI. E'Lisia Vickers went 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Darci Dillard went 1 for 2 with a double. Riley Edge was 1 for 2. Bleckley closes out the regular season October 1 against Telfair County at home. JV at 4 pm, varsity to follow.

BCHS cross country teams sweep small school division of home meet.

BCHS cross country teams sweep small school division of home meet.
Both the boys and girls cross country teams placed first in the small school division of the Bleckley County Invitational held Thursday afternoon. Emily Youngblood was top female, Garrett Rogers top male for BC. Both finished fifth individually. Teams are scheduled to return to action October 6 at the Domino's Invitational in Anderson, South Carolina.

Breakfast for law enforcement, fire & rescue, EMS, and Emergency Management personnel October 5.

The Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce will host a "Hometown Heroes" breakfast October 5 at 7:30 am.  Local law enforcement, fire and rescue, EMS, and Emergency Management personnel are invited to drop by 102 North Second Street for a breakfast sponsored by the Chamber and La Cabana Mexican Restaurant.

Futility against Dodge continues for BCHS softball.
