Royals Clinch State Berth with Win Versus Swainsboro

It was a rematch of last year's 3-AA semifinals Wednesday in Eastman when Bleckley took on Swainsboro.  Though the Royals won during the regular season by 20, they were up just one at halftime on a Dytrez Nelson layup as time expired.  BC pushed their lead to five in the third but the Tigers answered with an 11-3 run.  Foul trouble became an issue in the fourth as both Mario Beck and Ken Hughes picked up their fourth.  Swainsboro erased a four-point Royal lead with 3:04 left.  Rydealous Taylor and Quan Fleming would score five each as BCHS ended the game on a 12-3 run to win 60-51.

Taylor had 18.  Marcus Mack scored 17.  The Royals clinch a state playoff berth for the second straight year.  BC plays East Laurens in the region semifinals Friday at 8:30 pm.
