Basketball teams swept at Washington County.

BCHS was swept at Washington County for the third straight year Tuesday night with the girls losing 56-35, the boys 57-52. Bleckley hosts East Laurens December 14 at 6 pm.

The Lady Royals softball team held their postseason awards banquet Tuesday night at First Baptist Church. Presentations included those making all-region and all-state teams. 3-AA All Region Team selections: Second team- Macey Haley, E’Lisia Vickers. First team- Landa Dominy, Riley Edge, Bailey Odom. Caroline Thrower. 3-AA Co-player of the Year: Abbey Sims. AA All State Honorable Mentions: Abbey Sims, Landa Dominy. Former BCMS basketball player off to good start as head coach.

Former Bleckley middle and high school basketball player Derrick Farrow is head coach of the BCMS boys team, named to the position last spring. The Barons are off to a 2-1 start, including yesterday's 48-21 home win versus Swainsboro. BCMS has their last game before Christmas December 13 at East Laurens.

Bake sale will benefit annual BCHS Honors Biology class trip.

The Bleckley County High School Honors Biology Class will hold their annual pre-Christmas bake sale December 22 in the Pre-K parking lot, 242 E. Dykes St, from 8 am-until. Proceeds will benefit the class trip to SeaCamp.

Weekend update on BCHS basketball.

BCMS Christmas musical December 13, 14.

Bleckley County Middle School's choral and drama department will perform their Christmas musical "Jingle Jury" at 2 pm December 13 and 6 pm December 14. Admission is $3 adults, $1 for children ages four and up.
