Funeral services for Mr. James Marshall “Jimmy” DeLoach, 46, of Cochran who died Sunday, May 20, 2012 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday in Harmony Baptist Church in Dooly County. Burial will be in Harmony/Smyrna Cemetery.
Mr. DeLoach was born in Dooly County and had lived in Cochran for the past five years. He was a graduate of Fullington Academy in 1983. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College and graduated from Macon State College. He was a FAA Certified Private Pilot. He was a deacon at Harmony Baptist Church and former Sunday School Teacher, Children’s Church Director and a former Music Director before moving his letter to First Baptist Church of Cochran. He was a chemical salesman for Agri-AFC.
He was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Dooly County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Etheridge DeLoach of Cochran; two children, Hannah DeLoach and Bray DeLoach, both of Cochran; mother and father, Faye Peavy Deloach and Gene DeLoach of Unadilla; brother, Ken (Melinda) DeLoach of Dexter; mother-in-law, Helen (George) Johnston of Ashburn; brother-in-law, Jody (Tresa) Etheridge of Pinehurst.
The family may be contacted at the residence on Live Oak Drive and will meet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday night.
