Bleckley native named Liberty Bowl Queen | People

Jessi Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Young of Cochran, and a 2012 graduate of Bleckley County High School, was crowned America's Homecoming Queen in July in Anaheim, California.
Along with that title, she was also selected as the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Queen. As queen, Jessi will be the official representative for the 54th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl activities in Memphis, Tennessee December 28-31.
Jessi will attend the pro rodeo sponsored by Ford on Friday night, December 28, and will attend the Coaches' and Players' Luncheon on Saturday where she has been asked to sing the National Anthem for the event.
Sunday, she will visit St. Jude's Children's Hospital along with homecoming queens from around the United States. After visiting the hospital, she will ride in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Parade on historic Beale Street. She will conclude the evening by attending the AutoZone President's Gala at the Peabody Hotel featuring the Temptations.
On December 31, she will be on the field for the coin toss, and Jessi will be onstage for the halftime show with the Temptations.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN with the game starting at 2:30.
