If you're in Cochran Saturday morning and need your car washed, you have two opportunities to pay someone else to do it as well as support local fundraising. Fierce Dancing Divas, a Bleckley-based competitive dance team, will be holding a car wash and bake sale at the Citizen's Bank from 9 am-1 pm. The UnAshamed youth group at House of Grace will have a car wash at the church from 9 am-noon. Proceeds benefit an upcoming trip to Wild Adventures.
Bleckley 4-H held a rabies clinic and pet show at the Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department Saturday.
There were goats and other animals on display in the petting zoo. Dr. Jim Rahn, of Eastman, demonstrated pet first aid. Dog owners could enter contests with their four legged friends including best tail wagging and best tricks.
The Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club had a pair of demonstrations.
House of Grace held a six-team softball tournament Saturday. Proceeds benefitted an upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The church will host a motorcycle run raising funds for the same trip March 29.
Cost is $25 with all participants entered into a $25 gift card drawing.
