Middle Georgia State releases finalized list of graduates

Middle Georgia State released a final list of graduates from the Class of 2015 Monday.  Here are the students who graduated from Cochran and their degrees.

Bleckley 4-H held a rabies clinic and pet show at the Cochran Bleckley Recreation Department Saturday.

There were goats and other animals on display in the petting zoo. Dr. Jim Rahn, of Eastman, demonstrated pet first aid. Dog owners could enter contests with their four legged friends including best tail wagging and best tricks.

The Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club had a pair of demonstrations.

Bleckley 4-H to hold rabies clinic

The Bleckley 4-H will hold a rabies clinic May 16 in conjuction with a pet show their sponsoring at the Cochran-Bleckley Recreation Department.  

Sponsored by 4-H and Bembry Veterinary Clinic, the cost is $10 per animal.  Vaccinations will be done from 10 a.m. - noon.

Cochran church holds benefit softball tournament

Cochran church holds benefit softball tournament

House of Grace held a six-team softball tournament Saturday.  Proceeds benefitted an upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  The church will host a motorcycle run raising funds for the same trip March 29.

 Cost is $25 with all participants entered into a $25 gift card drawing.  

Registration is at 8 a.m., kick stands up at 9.  The ride starts at the church, 133 Jac Arts Road.  Call Deanna Brady, 478-230-0807, for more information.

Cochran Church to Hold "Blessing of Animals' Ceremony

Trinity Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Fifth and Cherry Street in Cochran, will hold a "Blessing of Animals" ceremony October 5 at 10 am.  People can bring their pets to receive a special blessing.  Those attending are asked to ensure their pet is leashed.  Call the church office at 478-934-2771 for more information.
