Bleckley County 100 year stories sought

Bleckley County 100 year stories sought

Bleckley County is celebrating its 100 year birthday this year, and there are so many stories about the people in the community that have yet to be told or might need to be revisited.

If you or someone you know has been a resident of Bleckley County 25 years to 100 years and has a historical tale to share or an interesting hobby or has had some impact on Bleckley County in the 100 year span, i.e. as a volunteer, a teacher, a preacher, a law official, a bus driver, etc, e-mail rlhg4@bellsouth.net or becky@pipsconsulting.com.

All stories will be shared on the 13 WMAZ TV Bleckey-Dodge-Pulaski blog as approved by 13 WMAZ-TV, on the Bleckley Progress site and included Examiner.com's national Macon Everyday Ordinary People site.

Come on Bleckley County, let's share 100 years of stories!

E-mail rlhg4@bellsouth.net or becky@pipsconsulting.com.

According to GCRR Board member, Bonnie Walker, GCRR "got in 22 dogs on Sunday and 20 plus on Wednesday, February 1, from rescues in South Carolina. Many small breeds, like chihuahuas, Shi-Tzu, Bostons, poodles, Multi-Poos are at the shelter, and we also have many mixed breeds of all ages and breeds, as well as puppies."
