The Primary is Over, Now the Real 'Fun' Begins

The Primary is Over, Now the Real 'Fun' Begins

Jimmy Pruett was up bright and early Monday morning, in his office, working on paperwork and things that "had piled up on my desk while I was out campaigning."

After winning Tuesday's primary over his opponent, John Clements, for the new House of Representative district 149, which he will take over in January, Georgia Representative Jimmy Pruett could have taken time off - most other candidates did.

Though he sounded tired, Pruett laughed, "Too much work to do." He was very appreciative beyond words for the trust and faith those who voted for him have shown, and said, "There is no 'I' in this election ... I had a great team of supporters, and my wife, of course, and family."

Jimmy Pruett - A Man of Ideas, Action

Jimmy Pruett, 60, married, father of two and grandfather of seven, is what one would call a man of many ideas. He sits in his Eastman office, behind a desk full of organized stacks of things to do, and points at a stack of legal pads. “When I get an idea or a thought, I write it down.” Pruett has a legal pad that he keeps by his bed so that when he gets a middle of the night or early morning idea he can write it down too, so he won't forget it.
