1,700 Mile Biking Teen to be in Pulaski Tuesday
Summer time for most 18 to 19-year-olds normally includes hanging out at the beach, the pool and doing as little to nothing as possible.
Matt Stoltz isn't doing that. Though he says he enjoys doing the “typical teenage stuff,' like listening to music, sports and playing his guitar, the 19-year-old isn't your typical teenager. He will be a sophomore when school starts in the fall at the University of Wisconsin.
Since July 1, Matt has been on a summer adventure that some dream of, while others might think a bit crazy. He is biking across country. 1,700 miles, and when we say biking, we don't mean, on a motorcycle. He is riding his bicycle – you know, the kind you pedal.
That's eight states, 2,172 kilometers, 8,896,800 feet, 24,714 football fields and 94,647 basketball courts.
