Beta Club Show Choir wins national title.

The Bleckley County High School Beta Club Show Choir finished first at the national convention held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  They made top five after a first performance Friday, and finished first following a performance Saturday morning.

Local students make Middle Georgia State President's, Dean's Lists for Spring 2019.

(Photos courtesy news release.) Two Bleckley students attending Oconee Fall Line Technical College were awarded scholarships by the Oconee Fall Line Technical College Foundation South. Amber Mullis was one of two students to receive the Bill and Vickie Cheek Heartland EMS Scholarship. Summer Ridley received the Bleckley Memorial Allied Health Scholarship.

Tuesday night's monthly Bleckley Board of Education meeting was a busy one with the passing of a new policy, the budget being passed, coaching news via the FY20 athletic and extracurricular staffing plan, and much more.

Bleckley County High School Literary finished second at state competition held Saturday at Veterans High School.  To read full results, click here.

Major personnel moves at Tuesday night's BOE meeting.

The resignation of  assistant superintendent and curriculum director Dr. Andrea Williams, "with regret due to retirement," was approved at Tuesday night's monthly Bleckley Board of Education meeting. As a result, a new director of curriculum as well as assistant superintendent were promoted from other administrative positions. Click here for more.

Donations of candy, plastic eggs, sought for Bleckley Elementary "dozen day."

Bleckley Elementary is seeking donations of plastic eggs and individually wrapped candy for their annual "dozen day" March 29, an event designed to ensure all school children get to enjoy Easter egg hunts. Items can be left in the main office of BCES. Please have all donations in by March 27.
