Bleckley students make OFTC Summer 2017 Semester President's, Dean's Lists.

Middle Georgia State adding Technical Writing and Digital Communications Graduation Certificate.

Middle Georgia State University will begin offering a graduate certificate in Technical Writing and Digital Communication this October. Recently approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the fully online program consists of 15 masters level hours. It's open to students who've completed their undergraduate degree or receive permission from the dean.

Bleckley County Elementary School has several things upcoming including Picture Day, Open House, and an opportunity for grandparents to eat breakfast with their grandchildren.  To read more, click here.

Millage rate set, personnel moves made, at Bleckley BOE meeting.

It was a busy monthly meeting for the Bleckley Board of Education Tuesday night.  They received an update on the high school gym expansion, set a millage rate, and made personnel moves including naming a new director of Communities in Schools/Family Connection.

"BCHS Honors Biology Day" at Cochran Dairy Queen August 19.

August 19 will be "BCHS Honors Biology Day" at Cochran DQ Grill & Chill.  Students from the high school Honors Biology class will be collecting donations and the restaurant will donate a portion of all sales to the class.  Proceeds will go toward the annual class trip to SeaCamp.

Community donations sought for BCHS One Act Play class.

Attending this weekend's 70's and 80's concert that will be held in the high school auditorium will support the Bleckley County High School One Act Play competition class.  However, they are need of nearly $6,000 for expenses associated with putting on the play.
