Local travel team does well at USFA state tournament.

Crush 04 played in the USFA Class C State tournament held this past weekend in Columbus.  The team finished third.

Cochran Rec. Department to host Dixie Youth 10-u boys district.

The Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department will host the Dixie Youth District 2 10-u baseball tournament.  Bleckley plays tomorrow at 11 am.  Their next game would be on June 19, 8 pm win, 6 loss.  

Weather postpones Hawkinsville All Star tournament.

Weather postponed games at Monday's Hawkinsville Invitational All Star softball tournament.  Bleckley's 8-u girls play tonight at 7:30 pm.  The 10-u girls play tomorrow at 5:30 pm.

Both the 8 and 10-u girls all star teams finished second at the Dodge Invitational played at the Eastman-Dodge Recreation Department this weekend.  The 8-u play tomorrow at the Hawkinsville Invitational at 7:30 pm while the 10-u play Tuesday at 5:30.

Bleckley All Star teams in action this weekend.

Threee Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department All Star teams will be playing this Friday and Saturday.  Both the 8 and 10-u girs softball teams travel to the Eastman-Dodge Rec. Department for the Eastman Invitational.  The 10-u girls play at 6, the 8-u at 7:15 pm.  Saturday, 8-u baseball plays in Camsports-USA's 8-u State Championships.  Times have not been announced.

Bleckley 8-u All Stars finish second at Perry Invitational.

The 8-u boys all star baseball team finished second at the Perry Invitational Saturday, losing to Perry West 17-16 in the championship game.  Bleckley will play June 10 in Camsports-USA's Gizmo Coach Pitch Championships at Walter B. Williams Park in Milledgeville.

Former BCHS football player Farrow signs with CFL's Montreal.

Former Bleckley County High School and Kennesaw State football player Derrick Farrow signed with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes.  The signing was announced Sunday by Allied Sports, the agency representing him.  A starter for all 22 games played for the Owls, Farrow accumulated 110 tackles, five forced fumbes, and had an interception in both seasons.  (Stats courtesy ksuowls.com)
