BCHS went into Tuesday's home baseball game versus Dodge County having won two straight.  Against the Indians, they jumped out to an early 4-0 lead.  After Dodge drew within 6-5 in the top of the fifth, the Royals sent ten men to the plate as part of a six-run inning.

Bleckley went on to win 14-5, ironically the same score the Indians beat the Royals by when the two teams played April 26 last year.

Dusty Jones was 4 for 5 with a double.

Kyle Brown was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI.  Frankie Mullis was 2 for 4 with two doubles and 1 RBI.  Cody Jones was 2 for 5 with a double and 1 RBI.  Jordan Perdue was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI.

Bleckley Loses Sub-Region Baseball Opener

After giving up six runs in the top of the first, a Cody Jones two-run home run capped a three-run rally to cut the deficit in half.  BCHS would get no closer as they began Region 3B-AA play with a 13-5 loss.  Jones was 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI.  Bryant Trice was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

The Royals play at East Laurens Thursday.  JV play at 4 pm with varsity to follow.

Bleckley Splits Soccer Matches with Southeast Bulloch

Bleckley Splits Soccer Matches with Southeast Bulloch

Southeast Bulloch scored off a deflected ball 1:05 into their match Monday with the Lady Royals.  Bleckley's defense kept them scoreless from that point until 14:54 of the second.  Though Ashley Burton's goal at 8:29 cut the deficit to one, BCHS lost 2-1.

Masha Morris and Jacob Waters scored first half goals for the Royals.  SEB got on the board at 13:37 of the second.  An apparent game-tying goal about three minutes later was waived off because the shot taken was supposed to be an inadvertent kick.  Bleckley won 2-1.

The girls will play at Screven County (who has no boys program) Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Both teams will be in action March 22 in Eastman versus Dodge County.  Match times are 5 pm girls, 7 p.m. boys.
