Turkey Season Openers Bring Smiles to Hunters

Turkey season opened today, and hunters in Dodge, Bleckley and Pulaski counties are reporting in with some great successes.  

Zack Lassiter got his bird in Bleckley County. It weighed 18 pounds. He is the son of Von and Kelli Lassiter.

The Georgia National Rodeo takes place annually at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.

The rodeo is set for February 23-25.

in Cochran, it'll be on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 6-9 p.m.

In Eastman, trick-or-treating is on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 5-7 p.m.

and in Hawkinsville, trick-or-treating is October 31st, as long as the resident's porch light is on.
